The well was unable to reach the planned total depth of 550 metres due to deteriorating hole conditions and coring was terminated at 518 metres.
Merninie-2 has been plugged and abandoned, and the rig has moved to Merninie-3, the second well in a three-well program. Surface casing has been set and drilling is continuing ahead to core point.
