Arrow extends Surat Basin contract for Easternwell

Two well servicing rigs are already working for Arrow Energy in the basin, with the third due to commence work in mid-May 2015.

“We have worked with Arrow Energy in the Surat Basin for several years,”? Easternwell Executive General Manager Tim Phelan said.

“We welcome the opportunity to continue work with Arrow Energy and look forward to further building our relationship with them.”?

Arrow Energy currently provides approximately 20 per cent of Queensland’s gas supply from its five producing CSG fields in the Surat and Bowen basins in central Queensland.

The majority of the gas is fed through the Daandine, Townsville and Braemar 2 power stations.

Arrow’s proposed Arrow Bowen Pipeline – a buried high-pressure steel pipeline to bring CSG from the Bowen Basin to Curtis Island – entered front-end engineering and design (FEED) in late-2014.
