Currently in design phase, the Brisbane hub would begin market trial in September 2011 under the current proposed timeline.
AEMO Executive General Manager Market Performance Terry Grimwade said that there has been a smooth start to market operation, with only a few small problems noted.
Mr Grimwade said that although it is too early to discern any real trends, ex ante prices have been in the range of $0.80-5.00 for Sydney and $3-4 for Adelaide.
In Adelaide, network deviations have been between -10 terajoules (TJ) and 9 TJ, and in Sydney are typically +/- 8 TJ.
