Complete analyser solutions

A key element of any on-line analyser system is the design and application of the SCS prior to a sample being delivered to the analyser.

“It is essential that the sample be a true representation of the product to be measured with specific components in the product such as moisture removed to prevent damage to the analyser,”? an IAS spokesperson said.

Housing these systems includes installing the complete house in a hazardous area comprising air-conditioning unit, purge unit, power distribution complete with gas detectors, alarm panels and more. House construction includes concrete panelling, steel sandwich foam and all steel incorporating insulation and fire protection. In addition, analysers have been installed – including the SCS – within three or four-sided shelters or in individual cubicles engineered and designed by IAS.

In 2007 Integrated Analytical Systems (IAS) supplied the analyser system for the Zamzama Project, which is located in Pakistan.

The system included an ABB PGC 2000Analyser, Ametek 3050 TE PPB Moisture Analyser, with associated sample conditioning systems (SCS) and gas bottle rack, housed in an Analyser House with cooled air to maintain comfort and safe conditions and to ensure consistent operation in ambient temperatures up to 55ËšC.

IAS also manages all projects in accordance with a Quality Manual that conforms to ISO 9001:2000, which satisfies the requirements of all local consultants, refineries, gas plants and system operators.

The company has integrated analyser installation in major chemical and gas plants in Australia and New Zealand. It has also provided custody transfer metering stations and can provide a total package integrating analyser systems with flow computers and communication to DCS systems.
