EMICO Australia is a subsidiary and sales/marketing office of EMICO (Eayuan Metals Industrial) Taiwan, based in Melbourne, Australia. EMICO ball valves have been supplied to the Australian market for over 16 years.
EMICO (Eayuan Metal Industrial Co Limited) was established at Lugang, Changhua, Taiwan, in May 1984, and is a leading professional ball valve manufacturer for the oil, petrochemical, natural gas, onshore plant and processing markets. By 2007, the company had four production facilities in Shanghai to meet the demand from China. The Australian company was established in 2008 to provide Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Rim with ball valves and actuators.
Production range
EMICO produce a wide range of ball valves in sizes 15-600 mm (2-24 inches) and in various types including uni-body, split two-piece body, three-piece body, fire safe and non-fire safe, and cryogenic, in floating and trunnion ball designs. Small bore EMICO ball valves have Australian Gas Association approval.
EMICO cryogenic and trunnion ball designs have Peek and Devlon seating, and James Walker AED seals for high pressure gas service, up to Class 2,500.
Gate, globe and check valves are manufactured in sizes 50 mm and above in stainless steel, carbon steel and ductile iron, all flanged ANSI 150, 300 and 600. EMICO’s range also includes rack and pinion pneumatic actuators in both spring return and double acting.
EMICO’s ball valves are made by investment casting (lost wax process) from size ¼ inch up to 4 inches, and sand casting or stack shell casting from
4-12 inches. High-pressure valves and classes are supplied in forged construction.
Ball valves are supplied in various configurations: one-piece, two-piece and three-piece with threaded, socket weld, butt weld or flanged ends in Class 150, 300, 800, 900, 1,500 and 2,500 ratings.
Standard materials offered are stainless steel 316 and carbon steel in WCB or A105 to applicable ASTM standards. Other materials introduced to the range of supply are alloy 20/CN7M, hastelloy C, duplex and super duplex.
EMICO also supply full port PFA-lined ball valves for corrosive applications and produce a range of oil field valves and sanitary valves.
