Gas detection made easy

Equipped with SmartSample technology, the GasAlertMax XT’s diaphragm pump saves time with pump block detection, by which water and other liquids are prevented from being drawn into the pump.

The quick-connect tubing system instantly secures the sampling hose in place, enabling the user to change tubing lengths and sampling accessories in seconds. With the pump filter window, users can check the condition of the pump filter and replace it directly in the field.

The detector is also easy to use and complies with industry safety standards. With the push of a button, the device starts up and begins a self-test, automatically verifying proper operation of visible, audible and vibrating alarms, sensors, battery and pump. Using the one-button interface, users are able to: initiate calibration; acknowledge alarms and due dates; view TWA, STEL and maximum (MAX) hold readings ;view the date and time; activate the backlight.

The instrument is also able to be customised to suit specific applications, with Tamper-proof, user adjustable options. Eliminating push-button menu navigation, the detector connects to a computer, accessing its user-definable options. These include displaying the detector’s serial, firmware and hardware versions numbers, a programmable start-up message, operational lockout in the event of a self-test error, safe mode and individual sensor configuration.

Powered by a rechargeable battery pack that provides runtime for 13 hours, the compact gas detector comes with standard event logging and data logging, providing simple calibration with an automatic procedure.

The detector is also ideally suited to a range of applications and customers including oil and gas, marine and shipping, utilities, wastewater treatment plants, power generation, municipal needs, and confined space entry.

This new detector can be customised to suit specific applications with a range of accessories. The MicroDock II docking system, for example, can automatically test, calibrate, charge and manage data from single or multiple detectors. It is fully portable and expandable, and requires no computer.

The device can be charged using a variety of single and multi-bay chargers for your office, worksite or vehicle. For hands-free use, there is a holster that will attach the detector to a belt and concussion-proof boots can give additional protection in extreme environments.
