GR Engineering wins APLNG contract

GR Engineering has won a contract for upstream LNG plant maintenance from Australian Pacific LNG.

The agreement is valued at around $5 million.

The work, to be carried out by GR subsidiary Upstream Production Solutions, will see the company provide support for APLNG's operations and maintenance activities in the Surat basin in south west Queensland.

It will also carry out both scheduled and unscheduled mechanical work on gas compression and water processing equipment.

Work has already begun on the project, which is slated to run for approximately 12 months.

Upstream's managing director Joe Corvetti welcomed the win, adding that it is "complementary to the work we are currently carrying out at Australia Pacific LNG well sites".
