Largest trenchless technologies event comes to Australia

Trenchless technologies continue to play a strong role in the Australian gas market. For the installation of new mains, horizontal directional drilling (HDD) is often utilised in challenging environments and on difficult projects.

2012 saw trenchless approaches adapted to major gas and oil projects. APA Group awarded WDS a contract for the Roma to Brisbane Pipeline Metro Looping Project, which included the installation of approximately 5.8 km of pipe through HDD, and the Arrow Bowen Pipeline is presently considering the use of HDD for environmentally challenging sections of the pipe route. Many energy utilities are employing trenchless rehabilitation techniques such as sliplining and cured-in-place pipe lining to rehabilitate cast-iron pipe.

Trenchless technologies are the solution to many issues currently facing the oil and gas sector by providing a minimally invasive solution to protected land and a means to reduce project costs.

Attending International No-Dig Down Under will provide insight on how to:

  • Reduce project costs by shortening project timelines;
  • Provide solutions for projects with environmental and/or cultural constraints;
  • Highlight ways to reduce carbon emissions;
  • Reduce OH&S risks to workers; and,
  • Much more, view the program here.

Extend your knowledge of trenchless technology and reassess how you can save cost on future projects – register today!
