According to the West Australian, the Premier said floating gas processing technology was unsuited to WA as he looks to backfill existing onshore processing plants.
“I want to see Browse and Scarborough gas come onshore,”? said Mr McGowan.
“I want to see it come to Karratha – that’s where it should go to.
“The idea of offshore processing, with giant floating processing facilities – I don’t think suits the needs of Western Australia in this day and age.
“We need to enter negotiations so that we can bring the Browse and Scarborough projects onshore.
“The alternative is they’re either sent to the Northern Territory or processed offshore.”?
