QLD gas pipeline expansion

The agreement follows the pre-FEED study recently completed by Jemena on behalf of the company, which determined that the existing Queensland Gas Pipeline (QGP) could be upgraded to provide gas from Wullumbilla into Gladstone in 2014 for the first LNG train of 1.5 MMt/a LNG production capacity, and in 2015 for a second LNG train of similar capacity.

The Queensland Gas Pipeline (QGP) expansion would supply gas to LNG Ltd’s 100 per cent-owned Gladstone “˜Fisherman’s Landing’ LNG Project, located at Fisherman’s Landing in the Port of Gladstone.

LNG Managing Director Maurice Brand It is proposed that LNG and Jemena will proceed to agree acceptable terms for the final FEED study and also negotiate a Gas Transportation Agreement”.
