Reaching the industry through FutureGAS – MWM

MWM Energy Australia took the opportunity to showcase our capabilities for a second year, and to be Great Southern Press’ Event Partner for FutureGAS 2010 in the strong belief that there is work to be done in sharing information, and informing the market about making a difference to cleaner, more efficient power generation.

Once again, the gas industry demonstrated its confidence in the future and a commitment to maintaining the momentum built up over the past few years. The attendees and quality of the event justified the investment of time and resources for speakers, sponsors and exhibitors alike, with important insights into a range of technologies and gas applications.

Brisbane remains a logical meeting place for the gas industry on the east coast, with strong interest and involvement from players at every point of the chain from investment and exploration to final consumption. The opportunity for those working in the city to take a couple of hours out of a busy schedule to hear specific presentations or to drop in after work has been a big advantage.

As a company involved in several segments of the Australian gas industry, from power stations at remote sites to embedded cogeneration for city buildings, MWM believes strongly in direct involvement and sharing knowledge to fully appreciate the opportunities that our varied gas reserves and technologies could provide.

As is usually the case, there were animated discussions and questions about many of the topics, and an entrepreneurial spirit in bringing together suitably qualified partners to evaluate and realise new project opportunities. We participate to learn from specialists in various fields, and to hear from our customers.

The MWM team was kept busy handling product inquiries and answering questions about high efficiency gas power generation, and the technical challenges of supplying non-conventional gas. The extensive results and rewards from this year’s event won’t be fully realised for several months, however it is already clear that FutureGAS 2010 has been a great success.
