Santos hires Aqura for networks maintenance

Aqura Technologies has secured a three-year networks maintenance contract with Santos worth in excess of $1.8 million.

The contract involves the provision of specialised support via Santos’ private industrial LTE network across its national footprint of operations.

It comprises two packages of work, the first of which includes the supply of equipment and progressional services for design, install, commissioning and handover to Santos.

The second package relates to the provision of ongoing managed support and maintenance and is due to commence in August for an initial period of three years, with an option to extend for two years following completion.

Aqura chief executive Travis Young said the company was extremely pleased to have secured a long-term contract with Santos.

“These are significant works for a blue-chip oil and gas client, testament to our position as an industry leader in high performance industrial connectivity through private industrial LTE network,” Young said.

“The provision of these largely as-a-service works demonstrates the delivery of our strategy in securing recurring revenue streams as part of our growth strategy for the business, and are encouraging validation of our recent expansion into the Queensland market via the establishment of our Brisbane based team.”
