Santos marks key milestone at GLNG Project

The $A23 billion project is currently scheduled for first LNG around the end of the third calendar quarter of 2015.

Over the coming weeks, the “˜front-end’ pre-treatment units will be started up before chilling down the “˜cold end’ refrigeration units to make LNG.

“GLNG is progressing extremely well. Our upstream facilities are fully operational and we are in the final stages of commissioning on Curtis Island,” Santos Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer David Knox said.

“As we continue to hit our key milestones, we know exactly what remains to be done and we’re focused on safely delivering GLNG on time and on budget.”

The GLNG Project is a joint venture between Santos (30 per cent) and PETRONAS (27.5 per cent), Total (27.5 per cent) and KOGAS (15 per cent).
