The main access road, the Strezlecki track, has been closed, affecting access for the re-supply of the operations camp.
As a precautionary measure, each of the wells has been shut-in and secured with production testing to recommence as soon as road access is re-established.
“While the current rain delay is frustrating, we are still well ahead of our expectations and on track to continue to build production once we are able (to) re-commence operations,”? Strike Energy Managing Director David Wrench said.
“We expect to be able to get back into production quickly and we will use this time to refine our production testing program.”?
Meanwhile, there has been no material damage to the facilities.
Joint venture participants in PEL 96 include Strike Energy (66.7 per cent as operator) and Energy World Corporation (33.3 per cent).
