Strike to commence flow testing at Walyering-6

Walyering-5 gas presence

Strike Energy and its joint venture (JV) partner Talon Energy are gearing up to begin flow testing at the Walyering-6 well within the Waylering Gas Field.

Mobilisation of all equipment to the W6 well site has now concluded with rig-up and swabbing operations having already been completed.

Furthermore, Strike has been reviewing the Walyering Gas Field data with its reserves & resources auditor RISC Advisory.

Strike has added the Cattamarra D-Sand to the production testing schedule based on further analysis and initial feedback on the D-Sand prospectively.

The well will include 5 m of perforations across the D-Sand, 8 m across the C-Sand and 13 m in the B-Sand. Each zone will be flowed individually before perforating 6 m of the Cadda gas discovery, which will have an extended individual flow test to gather further subsurface data due to this being the first Cadda formation discovery in the area.

The data on the areal extent of the gas zone in the Cadda Formation will be assimilated into the Walyering Gas Field’s planned development and incorporated into RISC Advisory’s forthcoming independent assessment.

The test is anticipated to take up 10 days to complete.

The Western Australian-based Strike Energy is the operator of the Walyering Gas Field, located in the North Perth Basin, under permit EP447 and holds 55 per cent equity interest.
