Surat and Bowen basins give Arrow CSG boost

The reserves were certified by consultants Netherland, Sewell and Associates and MHA Petroleum Consultants, which also included a 3P reserves upgrade of 18.6 per cent to 11,042 PJ of gas.

Significant 2P reserves were certified in PL238, PLA258, PLA260 and ATP638. The permits lie near the Tipton West Field. The majority of the 3P reserves certified within ATP364, adjoining the Moranbah Gas Field.

The company’s exploration and appraisal activity over the next twelve months will focus on expanding their 3P footprint through further conversion of their contingent resource, with 3,000 PJ of gross 3P expected to be added in 2010 and gross 2P reserves additions expected to be 1,500 PJ.

Arrow plans to construct the 467 kilometre Surat to Gladstone Pipeline from its Surat Basin CSG tenements to the proposed 1.5 million tonne per annum Gladstone “˜Fisherman’s Landing’ LNG Project, Queensland.
