Tariff increase for WA networks approved

The final decision results in a 5.1 per cent increase in revenue over the regulatory period compared to what was proposed in the draft decision.

WA Gas Networks Chief Executive Officer Ross Caldwell said “We are pleased to see that the ERA has accepted WA Gas Networks’ position on a number of key issues for the business.

“In line with draft decision, the ERA has largely accepted our capital and operating expenditure proposals, acknowledging the need for continued investment in constructing and maintaining our network.”?

WA Gas Networks has had no tariff increase since 1 January 2009. The revised tariff change will take effect from 1 July 2011.
