Woodside signs OEG for cargo supply in $6.6 million deal

Woodside Energy has awarded OEG Offshore a contract to supply a variety of cargo carrying units for its offshore production activities in Australia.

The contract is worth in excess of $US4.5 million ($6.6 million) over a three-year period and includes supplying a variety of DNV 2.7-1 cargo carrying units.

A rental fleet of over 400 offshore containers and baskets will be supplied predominately from the OEG base in Karratha, Western Australia, as well as sources from other bases through the company’s Australian and global network.

OEG’s full range of cargo unit designs including cuttings and waste skips, offshore tanks and A60 engineering cabins will also support Woodside’s drilling campaigns on an ad hoc basis.

National general manager of OEG Patrick Hanna welcomed the company’s newest contract.

“Our focus is to provide a high standard of cargo units and quality service as well as work closely with the Woodside team to provide a fully integrated service to support their contracts in Australia and the wider Asia Pacific region,” Hanna said.
