As the Viva Energy Geelong Refinery underwent a major overhaul in 2020, the maintenance team worked hard behind the scenes to ensure the refinery could resume operation within the scheduled timeframe.
Darren Casboult, the refinery’s central maintenance workshop supervisor, says the restrictions imposed on the site because of the pandemic and the subsequent changes to the scope of the programme meant the team relied on supply partners such as CBC to remain in schedule.
