The 14.5 MW power station was built for Adaman Resources’ Kirkalocka Gold Project, located approximately 70 km south of Mount Magnet in WA and comprises 9.9 MW of gas-fired and circa 4.6 MW of diesel back-up generation.
The station will power the needs of the mine and will continue to be owned and operated by Zenith, with the first full month of power supply achieved in October.
Zenith Managing Director Hamish Moffat said the station was up and running ahead of expectation.
“This is a further demonstration of the Zenith team’s ability to deliver innovative, reliable, highly efficient and cost-effective power generation solutions to support the diverse needs of our clients in remote locations,” he said.
Power supply has been agreed to under an initial 10-year term.
